About Juliana
Olá! I’m Juliana Ferreira, founder of Teach Me Ju and a passionate Brazilian Portuguese teacher based in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.
I originally studied technology and worked as an IT technician at a hospital. When I lost my position during the pandemic in 2020, I began teaching Portuguese to foreigners — and what started as a new opportunity quickly became my calling.
I discovered that I loved helping students reach their goals, become more confident, and form meaningful connections through language. That passion led me to pursue a degree in Languages and English, followed by postgraduate studies in Teaching Portuguese as a Foreign Language.
